RT Secures Earth Work-Slope Protection Construction Project from SRT Worth 209 Million Baht
RT has been awarded the construction project for Earth Work-Slope Protection Package 4+5 from the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), covering a distance of 19.58 km from Sta. 642+620 to Sta. 662+200, valued at 209.45 million baht. The construction is expected to commence, with revenue recognition starting in the first quarter of 2024, contributing to a targeted backlog growth of 8.3 billion baht.
Mr. Chavalit Tanomthin, CEO of Right Tunneling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in civil engineering, tunneling, and geotechnical engineering, revealed that the company has accepted the construction project for Earth Work-Slope Protection Package 4+5 from the State Railway of Thailand, valued at 209.45 million baht, as a subcontractor from the CKS-TDC joint venture, having received the letter of intent for the contract.
“This project is a continuation of our work on the construction of the Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong railway line, Contract 2, aimed at stabilizing the earth slopes in the construction area. It represents another type of construction work that requires our company’s expertise. We are currently surveying the area and preparing to commence construction within this quarter, with ongoing revenue recognition expected. We anticipate completing the construction by the first quarter of 2026,” Mr. Chavalit stated.
In 2024, the company plans to focus on bidding for both public and private sector projects continuously, acting as both a main contractor and subcontractor to increase opportunities for project acquisition and ensure steady revenue growth, aiming for a backlog target of 8.3 billion baht. Simultaneously, the company emphasizes improving construction efficiency and managing costs continuously to enhance profitability.
